Research Method

Research Method - Data collection and integration

Google was the tool that we used most to search for related information and pictures. We also used it to find previous awarded works and learned from them.

We also collected some related books containing a lot of information, which could enrich the content of our website.

Wikipedia is a useful searching tool for us because of its credible data and information.

We had learned the concept of mind map when we were fourth graders. Therefore, we could make a mind map quickly after learning how to use the software "XMind."

Research Method - Field visits

After the interviews, we listened to the recording and extracted the details from it. The process was really time-consuming.

We were not familiar with taking photos with a camera, so our teacher taught us some simple compositional techniques. For example, the "Rule of Thirds" is a principle that helped us take well balanced and interesting photos.

We uploaded our photos to the Google Photos so that we could sign in with our school system account and browse these photos at any time.

Communication and presentation

Google Classroom was the platform that we used most as we could sign in with our school system account. We uploaded our assignments of progress reports and collected data to the platform. Besides, we also used Google Classroom to communicate as well because we could surf on the internet at home.

E-mail is a highly effective tool of communication. We used e-mail to communicate with the representatives of ATOP Time Arts Pavilion, Nougat Creativity Museum, and Tucheng Family Library Branch respectively. In addition, we used e-mail to consult to parents who can help us with the web designing.

After our uploading to Google Classroom, our teacher would upload it to the Cyberfair platform for the coming peer evaluation.
